2010 program in Sorrento

Jodie Abelson:
This trip has far surpassed all expectations! My experience has been amazing. I've enjoyed the excursions, especially the mini cruise to the Amalfi coast. All day, everyday, is just so beautiful  and everywhere I look, there is a gorgeus view.

The accomodations in Casa Sorrentina have been wonderful. I was so surprised  breackfast was restocked each day and the beds were made for us. I was shocked with the size of the shower, but eventually got used to it.
Overall, this experience has been more than I could have ever imagined!

Cheri Blauer:
I have loved my time here in Sorrento. The apartments were perfect! They had large rooms, were very clean, had air conditioning, a wonderful breakfast, and best of all was that it was centrally located.

All of the trips we have gone on were amazing! Every place is so interesting and beautiful! Capri & Positano were breathtaking!
In Pompeii, our guide was wonderful. He knew so much about the city and its history and really made it interesting to learn about.
Everyone here in Sorrento has been so kind and helpful. I am so happy to be in such a wonderful place. Perhaps the biggest thing I will miss are the views and the flowers. Everywhere I turn there is another beautiful scene!
What a wonderful place to live!!!!

Crystal Brown:
Sorrento is a city filled with great food, lotes of culture and beautiful shops.
The accomodations here have been wonderful, the tour guides were very informative. I really wouldn't be able to pin paint my best experience, beacause everything has been great. But one of the most relaxing trips was the cruise to the Amalfi Coast.

Overall this has been a great experience and something that I plan to share with mi family and friends.

Candeya Brown:
My time in Italy this far has been a wonderful experience that I will treasure for a lifetime. In just a few days Sorrento has found a place in my heart. I found this town to be rich in colture and historical facts. The partnership with Sorrento Lingue made the experience more comforting as I was continually greeted with familiar faces upon entering the school building. The trips arranged for the students also helped to develop a deeper understanding for the world that surrounds us.

Gina Marie Castonguay:
The experience I had in Sorrento was far above abobe my expectations. I knew I would be immersed into a new culture in a beautiful country, however the excursions thet were provided by the program were beyond that I thought it would be; they were truly amazing. I recived more out of this program with Sorrento Lingue then I have from many other things I have done in school.

The day we spent in Capri, and the cruise down the Amalfi coast have created memories I'll never forget. I've acquired  so much knowledge on this trip, as well as an appreciation for the Italian culture.

I can't wait to come back!!!

Jessica Diller:
My trip to Sorrento was much more than I expected. The architecture of the town and the beautiful sea views tokk my breath away everytime I stepped out of my hotel. The locals were very friendly and accomodating to myself and all of the students on the trip.

Casa Sorrentina was a wonderful hotel.
Sonia went above and beyond to ensure that we always had a stocked snack cabinet and clean liners. In addition, the free internet made it easy to stay connected to home.

Trips: The trip to Pompeii was amazing, especially thanks to our tour guide Stefano. While the ruins are exquisite in themselves, having a tour guide who knew so much history and interesting facts made the experience much more pleasurable.

Nicole Facchini:
I have really enjoyed my experience hare in Sorrento!

It was everything that I expected and more. I was worried that I was going to have a problem getting around with little knowledge of the Italian language, but everyone in Sorrento knew English wich was very comforting. The excursions we did were all fantastic! My favorite trip was our visit to Pompeii and climbing Mt. Vesuvius. Our guide in Pompeii was extremely knowledgeable and made our excursion fun! The climb up to the top of the mountain, was quite the treck, but the sights from the top were amazing!

A special thank you to the women in Sorrento Lingue that helped make our trip so amazing!!!

Jessica Sutherland:

Taking this trip was and still is a big deal to me. This is the first time I have study abroad and I am having a great time. I did not know too much about Italian culture and I learn so much earn so much that was amazing. For example, I did not know that people here take siesta from 1pm to 4pm, when I found out that I was shocked because people in America are always working and on the move. But over here people are so calm and relaxed.

Jessica Olin:
Sorrento is absolutely gorgeus.
The landscape and muntain views were breath taking and I'm glad to have captured it all in over 1000 pictures already!!!
Capri was very nice and affordable. I definitely plan on going back if only for the amazing perfume.  The mini cruise to the Amalfi coast was by far my favorite experience. It was beautiful and the views actually made me cry. Paestum was amazing and Pompeii was an experience of a lifetime( especially Mt. Vesuvius!!!!). The staff, tour guides and people of Sorrento have been very kind and welcoming( the boys come on a bit strong but still fun).

Thank you so much for helping my experience in Italy be so amazing!!!
