The winery is in Sorbo Serpico, in the area between Sannio and Irpinia bordered by the ancient Via Appia. Feudi di San Gregorio is a name that dates back to 500 AD when these lands were in the papacy possession under Pope Gregory the Great. Here the clay hills with volcanic deposits have cold winters and mild summers, unusual climatic conditions compared to Southern Italian ones.

The winery is an architectural gem designed by the Japanese architect Hikaru Mori and the Italian Maurizio Zito who designed an essential and elegant space as a contemporary cathedral partly buried to better integrate itself with the surrounding landscape. The tasting room is a glass box in the middle from which you can see the rows of barrels. Fifteenth-century madrigals composed by Carlo Gesualdo resound in the air, in the background a nativity scenary dominating... The visit is an exciting experience that continues in the rose garden and the roof garden of herbs built above the winery.
